The Late Colonel Jack Bailey was the operator of the vessel Akuna, which rescued Dad and 67 people on his boat from deadly pirates in the Gulf of Thailand, on April 15, 1979. Mr. Scott Adlai Stevenson is a younger cousin of the Late Adlai Stevenson -- who was a two-time presidential candidate, ambassador of the United Nations, state Governor, Senator and Secretary of State.

  1. I urge everyone to see this fascinating, remarkable movie, starring Nam and Ryan Nguyen, with many of the Nguyen family in supporting roles. Do also see the clips about the making of the movie, including even the funny blooper tapes. You're too late to be among the first thousand to see it, but you could be in the second! It may go viral on YouTube!

  2. Ryan, I wonder what you want be after school and college: a journalist, a graphic artist, or perhaps an actor or movie maker?

Your spoken English is beautiful. I wonder is your Vietnamese as good, and will you repeat the performance for the Vietnamese version, or just use sub-titles?

I noticed your emphasis on the journalistic essentials in your questioning: who did what, how, when, where and why. I guess that reflects excellent teaching by Mr Perris and your father.

I'm envious. We never had any opportunity to learn about making films when I was at school!
